4th Grade Place Value Apps & Online Games

In 4th grade, children must understand how to represent the value of the digit in whole numbers through 1,000,000,000 and decimals to the hundredths using expanded notation and numerals.  Fourth grade students interpret the value of each position as 10 times the position to the right and as one-tenth the value of the place to its left.  They must also compare and order whole numbers to 1 billion and decimals to the hundredths using symbols (>, <, =) and concrete & visual models.  In addition, 4th graders have to be able to round whole numbers and determine decimals on a number line to the hundredths place.

Here are some apps, online games, and other resources you can use to practice and review these crucial place value skills learned in 4th grade.
