How to Create a Listening Center Using the Audioboo App & QR Codes

Thankfully, listening centers with cassette tapes are finally becoming a thing of the past! Woohoo! :)

For many, they’ve been replaced with smart devices and QR codes. If you’re someone who has been curious about how to create your own listening center using QR codes, check out our FREE guide for using the FREE Audioboo app to record yourself reading a story and linking it to a QR code.

*Note: The instructions provided are for iPad users, but the Audioboo app is also available for Android, Google Play, Windows, and other smart devices.

Heather is the school librarian at Oak Forest Elementary, and before that, she taught 4th grade English/Language Arts/Reading and Science for 4 years. She has a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, a Masters degree in Educational Administration, and is working toward a certification as a Library Media Specialist. As a librarian, Heather has extended her reach beyond the library to collaborating with teachers on her campus to incorporate creative teaching ideas and technology into the classroom. This has given her a broad perspective of the elementary campus, and she is able to be in touch with learning needs and emerging trends in PK-4 classrooms.

Ashley has spent the past 5 years working as a graphic designer in Dallas for corporations such as On the Border® Products and Michaels® Arts and Crafts. Realizing she wanted more out of life and wanting to do something that makes a positive difference in the world, she decided to pack up her bags, move back home, and dedicate her time to working with Heather to create eye-catching graphics for Watson Works. She received a bachelors degree in graphic design from The Art Institute of Dallas. As an experienced graphic designer, Ashley is able to create clip-art/graphics for our products that are eye-catching, bold, and uniquely different from others you see on TpT, making her an invaluable part of this team.
